FORE Triumph Award Recipients Honored at 2009 Convention
Award in 2009 and recently described her
thoughts about receiving this acknowledgment. The Distinguished Member Award is
“an honor bestowed by your peers, which
is the highest of honors. The Triumph
Awards allow our profession to recognize
and celebrate our achievements, our innovations, and our progress,” said Abdelhak.

Each year the Triumph Awards are given
out at the AHIMA Convention and Ex-
hibit. It is a great honor to be nominated
for and receive one of these prestigious
awards. In 2009, two additional awards
were added for a total of 10. The awards
are: Distinguished Member, Champion,
Community Outreach, e-HIM, Educator,
Legacy, Mentor, Pioneer, Research, and
Rising Star. Descriptions, qualifications,
